These school holidays we're making it a reality!String Bean Puppets have brought a giant moa back to life to wander the valley for one day only. Bring the whānau along to collect some ‘moa food’ and interact with this incredible creature. Make sure you don't miss out on this extinction-defying encounter!
All ages welcome, children below 4yrs must be supervised with ‘moa food’
The moa and its keeper can be found on Lake Road near the toilet block, normal entry fees to the sanctuary apply.
Parking at our overflow carpark on Birdwood Street is available as usual during the busy summer season.
