In times of war, some stories are not only told — they are lived, endured, and written in the quiet strength of ordinary people who become witnesses to extraordinary history.
We warmly invite you to an evening with Ukrainian filmmaker and writer Ruslan Gorovyi, a film screening, and an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation, purchase books, and take part in a charity auction.
🎬 “Moshchun: The Diary of Liudmyla Oleksandrivna”
This powerful documentary tells the deeply personal story of an elderly woman who, during the 2022 battles for Kyiv, found herself on the front line — in her own home. Through her diary, we witness war through the eyes of someone who never left, who saw everything, and who chose to document truth, dignity, and survival.

🎯 ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ruslan Gorovyi is a Ukrainian filmmaker, writer, and founder of an initiative dedicated to searching for children illegally deported to Russia.
After losing an eye, he was unable to serve in the armed forces and instead devoted his life to documenting the human side of war and supporting civilians affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Today, he assists over 200 families across the Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions — mostly elderly people, single mothers, and families whose loved ones are held in captivity. His work continues to bring practical aid and attention to those who need it most.
