Anyone who knows anything about poetry will know that when Eric Beach died, on Melbourne Cup Day, 2024, we lost a great poet, a unique person and, for many of us, a friend.To mark his passing and celebrate the man and his poetry, you are invited to share a favourite poem by Eric and an original poem that mentions him, if you have one. Brief anecdotes and tributes also welcome. Or just show up and raise a glass to one of Australia’s finest adopted Kiwis.
