About this Event
Liverpool has an important literary history, from radical theatre and bookshops, poets, writers, to lyricists and comedians and the venues which hosted them. There will be poetry and readings to appreciate the works and maybe a song!
“You’d like the play’ - ‘It’s about nobody ever going away but always being just ‘round the corner, waiting to be caught up with” - ‘she sang a few bars into the mouthpiece, swaying a little, watching the lights go off in the theatre.” – An Awfully Big Adventure, Merseyside writer, Beryl Baimbridge.
