Join us for a special evening on Earth Day 🌏Meditation & Dharma Talk: Earth Day and Interdependence
with Venerable Jampa Thachoe
In honor of Earth Day, we’ll explore the Buddhist teaching of interdependence—the understanding that all beings are deeply connected. Through guided meditation and a Dharma talk, this session invites us to reflect on how we can extend mindfulness and compassion to ourselves and others, to honor the one planet we all live on.
Free, open to all. Donations and offerings are welcome for guest teachers.
🙏
Venerable Jampa Thakchoe, a returning guest teacher, is a Tibetan monk from Sera Jey Monastery and a current Tenzin Gyatso Science Scholar at Emory University.
With more than 18 years of traditional Buddhist training, he has completed extensive studies in Buddhist philosophy—including Madhyamika (Middle Way), Paramita (Perfection of Wisdom), and monastic debate—and also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from India.
His work bridges traditional Buddhist philosophy with modern scientific research, including collaborations with the Emory-Tibet Science Initiative, University of Groningen, and University of Wisconsin. Jampa-la’s teachings illuminate the intersection of Dharma wisdom and contemplative science.
