About this Event
At the end of October, I submitted my 10,000-word dissertation, the final requirement for my MSc in Organizational Psychology. I investigated the role that food entertainment media (Food Network, Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef, Chopped, The Bear, etc.) plays in the career decisions of culinary professionals in haute cuisine. What I found is that food media has both direct and indirect influences on career choice driven by the pursuit of belonging and feeling capable.
But I found much more regarding the attraction to extreme, abusive and psychologically violent workplace environments or toxic workplaces.
AND HOW THOSE WORKPLACES INDOCTRINATE INDIVIDUALS INTO THEIR CULTURE.
In this presentation, I will share my findings and offer strategies for workplaces to improve their culture and create safer working environments overall.
So if you're a manager, a business owner, have any influence in the workplace at all (that's everyone!) or are just into dope scientific findings, this is for you!
