Get ready Seattle! Silicon Valley's own Mechanical Turk is making a long-awaited trip to the Pacific Northwest to perform at the Nectar Lounge on May 31st. Known for their "Turkish fusion" sound—a high-energy blend of Anatolian rock traditions and Western grit—the band has built a dedicated following across the West Coast.
This special performance, titled "Duman'lı Gece," serves as a deep-dive tribute to the iconic Turkish grunge legends, Duman. The event carries significant momentum following the band's January show in San Francisco, which sold out immediately.
Bringing this tribute to Seattle is a homecoming of sorts for the music itself; although Duman became superstars in Türkiye, the band actually originated right here in Seattle before finding fame abroad. Mechanical Turk will honor that legacy while also showcasing their own recent work, including their 2024 single "Mekanik Aşk."
