About this Event
This workshop will provide a basic understanding of how an earthen dam is inspected in Maryland with pictures that most of you will relate to as they are from dams in Maryland taken during my 25 years of inspecting structures in the state.
I will go over the 70+ slides in detail as they represent the majority of surfaces and items that a dam inspector/owner/manager should look for at a dam when conducting daily/weekly/monthly inspections of this infrastructure.
The main reason for the workshop is to provide information, education, and knowledge to everyone affiliated with earthen dams in Maryland. Once the inspector learns what to look for during an inspection, it makes for a 'win-win' situation for everyone including mine. With the rapid turnover and retirement of veteran staff at dams, the newer dam managers need to know the intricacies of inspecting the structures well.
If you have any questions or need further information, please contact me by email: [email protected], or on cell: 443-271-8122.
