📚🌸 6th Annual Storybook Walk – Downtown MarshalltownThe Marshalltown Central Business District has partnered with the Marshalltown Public LIbrary during the month of April, in the spirit of Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day), a joyful celebration of the importance of books and reading in the lives of children in our community.
Join us this April for our 6th Annual Storybook Walk in Downtown Marshalltown.
The Marshalltown Central Business District has partnered with the Marshalltown Public Library to celebrate Día de los Niños / Día de los Libros, a joyful celebration of the importance of books and reading in the lives of all children in our community.
Throughout the month of April, families are invited to stroll through downtown and participate in our Storybook Walk scavenger hunt.
Here’s how it works:
📖 Participating downtown businesses will display a featured book cover in their window or inside their storefront.
✏ Children will write down the first two words of each book title on their scavenger sheet.
🎁 Once completed, turn your sheet in to the Youth Desk at the Marshalltown Public Library by May 3 to receive a free book and be entered for a Grand Prize drawing.
Scavenger sheets can be picked up at the Marshalltown Public Library starting April 1st or downloaded for free from MCBD's website at www.marshalltownmainstreet.org.
This is a fun, free, family-friendly activity that encourages reading, exploration, and supporting our downtown businesses all at the same time.
Grab your walking shoes, bring the kids, and celebrate the power of books with us all month long.
