The MCA Approved Engine Course 1 (AEC1) provides fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical training required under the DfT Codes of Practice for small commercial motor and sailing vessels.Delivered over five days (30 hours), the course covers dismantling marine engines and auxiliaries to understand components, working principles, and maintenance techniques. It equips delegates with the skills and confidence to perform basic maintenance, address safety and fire hazards, and diagnose and repair machinery defects.
