Jacy Garrison, Senior Environmental Planner with Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner's Office will present “Rain Gardens - A Beautiful Solution to Runoff and Pollution.” Jacy will discuss the benefits of rain gardens that go beyond looking beautiful. They also serve to restore the natural water cycle while improving water quality and adding wildlife habitat. She will cover the basics of siting, designing, planting and maintaining rain gardens and share resources available to dive deeper into creating a successful rain garden.Please enter through the De Carlo Visitor Center. Guests are welcome and reservations are not required. There is a $5 non-member fee. Coffee and refreshments will be served at 9:15 a.m. with the program to follow at 10:00 a.m.
