Second Mondays is a multi-disciplinary open mic for Black people to share and enjoy incredible art. The stage welcomes comedy, poetry, singing, rapping, instrumentalists, and more!

It's what we at Gold Beams have been doing for three years.

And... it's fun AF!

Open Mic FAQ's

- Our stage is a home made for Black creatives.

- We invite ALL disciplines.

- That includes comedians, musicians, poets, actors performing monologues, dance, etc.

- The open mic goes live at 6 pm when the doors open. The list fills quickly so try to get there earlier.

- If you can't get there early, that's okay. Every interested performer gets a free raffle ticket.

- We alternate between calling from the list and the raffle ticket.

- Artists have 5 minutes to perform on stage.

- Artists can perform one piece.

- If you have instrumentals, be ready to airdrop them.

- Be prepared to perform acapella if there are issues sending your instrumentals.

- Your art must be respectful to the people in the space. To our community.

- With the exclusion of February, if you have won a Second Mondays event in 2024, you can perform but you can NOT place.

People come to Second Mondays to:

• Network with creatives 🤝.
• Showcase incredible art 🎭🖼🎙.
• To enjoy incredible art 🤪!
• Make new friends 🤗.
• To have a good ass time 🔥.

We'll be taking pictures for Gold Beams to use for marketing purposes. Your entry will confirm your consent to having your photo taken and used at Gold Beams discretion.
