It’s our turn to host the pet food giveaway for families in need! We’re partnering with the Mon County Canine Adoption Center for another day of distribution of food to our community member who may need some assistance! A simple bag of food doesn’t only help out families who may be in a pinch, but also helps keep our furry friends stay out of the shelters!We will be distributing pet food on May 30th from 11am-3pm or until supplies runs out. Look for a white tent set up in the parking lot closest to the Animal Friends Thrift Shoppe Donation Drop off location at the Mountaineer Mall. We would also like to remind you that any animals other than service animals, are not permitted to be inside of the mall.
We do have a mix of cat and dog food available!

Please check in with a volunteer under the white tent, and we will assist you with loading if necessary!
Pet Food Giveaway – FAQ
We’re excited for our upcoming giveaway and have been getting some great questions! Here’s everything you need to know:
❓ Do you need to have an ID?
No — just let us know your name, address (if applicable), and how many pets you have.
❓ Do you have to be a Monongalia County resident?
No — everyone is welcome.
❓ What if I feed feral cats?
You are welcome to come and grab a bag of cat food, as long as supplies last.
❓ What if I can’t carry the food to my car?
No problem! We will have staff and volunteers available to help carry food to your vehicle.
❓ How much food can we get?
Each household will receive 1 bag of food. We will distribute larger bags first, and smaller bags as needed.
