MAX Women in Leadership is pleased to announce our 6th Annual International Women’s Day event, sponsored with the generosity of McCarthy Tétrault LLP.

This year’s theme, "Building Resilience" , is dedicated to highlighting the journeys of women leaders who have navigated challenges, overcome barriers, and built meaningful impact across their careers. Through honest reflection and shared experience, this evening will explore how adversity can shape leadership, resilience, and purpose.

Designed to inspire and educate, this event creates a space where meaningful conversation meets action. Empowering women at all stages of their careers to reflect, learn, and grow through shared stories of perseverance and leadership.

Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 with MAX Women in Leadership and McCarthy Tétrault, as we come together to learn from one another and rise together!

Muslim Achieving Excellence (MAX) was founded with the aim to recognize, reward, celebrate and motivate high achievement and encourage positive and productive contributions to society by Muslims in Canada. Farah Khan | Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services, Trillium Health Partners

Farah Khan is a Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at Trillium Health Partners (THP). Farah joined THP in 2017 as the Regional Program Director for the Mississauga Halton Central West Regional Cancer Program. She has since assumed the role of Director of Quality, Risk and Patient Safety, in which she has been recognized as an inclusive, strategic, and collaborative leader. She has been effective at supporting and influencing the development and use of evidence based best practices with foundations in quality and patient safety to advance the hospital’s quality agenda and to enhance patient outcomes with a positive patient experience. Prior to joining THP, Farah was the Senior Director, Surgery and Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Farah has a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Toronto, and has received numerous recognitions of her leadership and accomplishments in advancing excellence including the RNAO President’s Award in Clinical Nursing Practice and a City of Mississauga COVID HERO Civic Award of Recognition. Farah is an Adjunct Lecturer with the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, where she also is a Member of their Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenous Reconciliation Committee. Additionally, she is a Board Member with the Canadian Nurses Association and the Salvation Army’s Meighen Health Centre.

Zaynah Jamal | Vice President, Development, Infrastructure Ontario

Zaynah Jamal is Vice President, Development at Infrastructure Ontario, where she leads the planning and delivery of large-scale public infrastructure projects that shape communities across the province. With extensive experience in infrastructure development and public-private partnerships, Zaynah brings a strategic, solutions-driven approach to navigating complex stakeholder environments, regulatory frameworks, and project risks.

Zaynah completed the Public Sector Leadership Program at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management through the Rotman Executive Programs. She holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from York University.
