About this Event
For nearly a century, comic book icons like Captain America, Batman, and Superman have stood as symbols of strength, justice, and truth. But did you know that these heroic ideals—and many of the superheroes themselves—are deeply rooted in Jewish history and storytelling? We're bringing the community together to tell the story of the Exodus featuring the heroes who freed us from bondage!
Join us on Sunday, March 22, at Leah Posluns Theatre for an action-packed, comic-con-style celebration, as you learn to draw, Moses, Joshua, Sypora, and Miriam as the MItzvah League! Whether you're a lifelong collector, a casual fan, or a family looking for a fun and meaningful experience, this half-day event has something for everyone.
Highlights Include:
🦸 Jewish Cartooning Workshop with legendary Batman editor Jordan B. Gorfinkel, where participants will learn to craft their own Jewish-themed comics.
🎨 Cover Art Workshop with Spawn cover artist and educator David Bluestein, teaching essential techniques for illustrating our four Passover Heroes!
We'll be joined by Cantor Jeremy Burko of Beth Radom who will lead us through this journey infused with storyteling and culture.
This is your chance to celebrate Jewish creativity, history, and heroism in a way that's fun, interactive, and inspiring. Don’t miss out—assemble your squad and join us!
Tickets gets you both workshops and experiences!
*Snacks and beverages will be provided through out the day, included in the cost!
