10-11: Matt Trigge Trio
Since moving to Melbourne in 2019, Matt Trigge has spent the past five years honing his craft as a versatile multi-instrumentalist. Matt has performed with a wide range of projects across Melbourne and around Australia, building a reputation for his dynamic blend of improvisation and groove-driven soundscapes.
His latest project explores the meeting point of broken beat and jazz-house, weaving original tunes that blur acoustic and electronic textures. The trio features:
• Matt Trigge – keys, trumpet, effects
• Michael Campelj – bass, effects
• Gus Cox – drums
Supporting Matt will be AKA Zeb,
AKA Zeb is an electronic musician based in Naarm. His live performances
combine jazz improvisation with deep and soulful house. Heavily influenced
by sounds of 90s Chicago, Detroit and New York dance music, his tracks
are sure to get the crowd moving! Zeb released his debut vinyl Ep under
Villa Records in 2024 and has an extensive back catalog of releases both
independent, and on local labels Love Above and Inner Sauce.
