Maryland Curiosity Lab Parent Information Night

What would school look like if the goal was to spark curiosity and help each child find their own path? This evening is a chance to see how that plays out day to day.

We’ll start with a tour of the school, led by our learners. You’ll visit each of our studios and get a feel for what a learner-driven, non-traditional environment looks like in practice.

Our studios include:

• Basecamp (ages 4–6) – a Montessori primary environment focused on independence and hands-on exploration
• Foothills (ages 7–12) – where learners explore their interests through projects, collaboration, and regular adventure trips
• Ascent (ages 11–15) – where learners take on more complex work and begin pursuing apprenticeships
• Launchpad (ages 14–18) – focused on independence, real-world experience, and defining a “Next Great Adventure” after graduation

After the tour, we’ll have time for questions in a few different formats:

• A panel of learners sharing their experience
• A panel of current parents
• Open Q&A with founders and staff

All of our guides will be available throughout the evening to answer questions.

This is a chance to see the program up close, hear directly from learners and parents, and decide if it might be a fit for your family.
