Mary Lattimore is a classically trained harpist and composer, she works experimentally with her Lyon and Healy Concert Grand harp, using electronic effects to create fascinating sonic vistas which emphasise the harps ethereal qualities.Based in Los Angeles, Lattimore has recorded harp parts with great artists such as, Sharon Van Etten, Jarvis Cocker and Kurt Vile. Her debut solo record, ‘At The Dam’, was released in 2016, the next year, she compiled sounds from her past life in Philadelphia for a cassette tape titled, ‘Collected Pieces’. Her album, ‘Hundreds of Days’ presented an expression of mystified gratitude for the natural world and was acclaimed by well-known music publications.
‘Silver Ladders’, is Mary’s third LP and arrives as her most confident work to date, expanding her style of instrumental storytelling. Recorded in Halstead’s studio near an old English surftown, the songs reflect Lattimore’s vivid memories against the gloom and glimmer of the ocean.
