Enjoy an evening of song swapping and tale telling with three stalwarts of the Dallas singer-songwriter scene in a casual coffeehouse setting.
THE ARTISTS:
Bill Nash has been a musician his entire life beginning as a 5-year-old soprano with an all-consuming passion to make music. Bill began writing music and lyrics in his early teens with roots firmly embedded in what is now known as the singer/songwriter acoustic music genre. Over the last 30 years Bill has been a recording artist and regular performer on stage at such venues as the Kerrville Folk Festival Wildflower! Festival (Richardson) Poor David’s Pub (Dallas) Open Door Coffeehouse (Arlington) Jefferson Freedom Café (Fort Worth) and Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse (Dallas).
Ian Dickson is a singer/songwriter and guitar player living in McKinney TX. Born in Dunfermline Scotland Dickson came to Texas by way of Canada Ohio and Michigan. After spending a few years playing with Shenango an acoustic folk/pop band based in Cleveland in the 70's Ian formed Pine Creek in 1977. Pine Creek took their own brand of "Bluegrass and Beyond" to regional success on the club circuit in Midwest. After settling in North Texas Dickson took top honors in the 2005 Wildflower! Festival songwriter competition. Dickson has opened for Texas music icons including Ray Wylie Hubbard Brave Combo and Gary P. Nunn and serves on the board of directors for the Dallas Songwriters Association.
John Jaggers is a Dallas based singer-songwriter with a musical style best described as acoustic folk with notes of Americana country and even rock. His songs come from the heart and his lyrics invite reflection - sometimes serious sometimes fun always thoughtful. John began playing acoustic guitar in his 20’s but set it aside to focus on work and family. After 40 years in the business world Jaggers decided it was time for a new gig and turned to music with the energy he previously applied to his career. He soon formed the trio Honey Creek covering a wide variety of acoustic vocal-harmony rich songs. Jaggers developed a story-telling style that taps into the perspective that 60 years of life can bring. In early 2018 he released his first full-length album Worth The Wait.
