Marginallia LARPA tale of Hares, Snails and Silliness
Join us in the amazing St. Briavels castle for a fully catered Live Action Role Play three night weekend complete with banquet and entertainers.
The Premiss: You take the role of one of the people who live in, or are passing through the castle, dealing with its politics and problems. However, this is no normal medieval world, here, the wonderful pictures that scribes and scholars scribbled in the Margins of their work are real…
Giant Snails, strange shaped fruit, Hares that kidnap people, all exist and it the castellans duty to keep them in line, make sure the area is safe.
Unfortunately, the Castellan is suffering a personal crisis and has let things slide, badly. His father the Earl is on their way, and the castle needs to be in order before he arrives or his fury will fall on everyone.
The inhabitants of the castle are broadly broken up into factions:
- Learn to battle with the Guard and the knights
- Join the Kitchen folk to try and get what you need from the gardens and the yeomen
- The Garden folk must try and keep the giant snails out of the garden
- Travellers trying to escape the dangers of the road (including the Hares)
- The monastic orders who help run the infirmary and hospitality for travellers and are constantly at odds with:
- Their clerical brethren who run the chapel in the castle and are always trying to one up their monastic brethren.
- The servants and helpers just trying to get by in a mad world!
Learn to safely fight with medieval equipment, dance to medieval music, meet the alchemist and enjoy the show of travelling players!
Costs start at 200/250 in October 2025 but go all the way to £900 on the gate. There are 25 tickets. Grab em before its to late!
