An Evening with Adele is a tribute show that pays homage to the incredible artist by walking the audience through Adele’s life story and tracking the trajectory of her successive hits.
Margaux delivers an artistically distinct version of these beloved songs, honouring Adele’s unmistakable emotional power while bringing her own vocal colour, warmth and interpretive style to the music. Between songs, she shares stories and anecdotes about the legendary singer, offering audiences a glimpse into the life, heartbreak, humour and humanity behind the voice. This one-hour performance promises an intimate and memorable journey through some of Adele’s most iconic songs like Hello, When We Were Young and Rolling in the Deep. This café Roux premiere will be an evening filled with laughter, goosebumps and tears. More than simply a concert, An Evening with Adele is designed to be deeply felt: a celebration of love, loss, resilience, and the kind of music that stays with you long after the final note’s been sung.
About the Artists:
Meet Margaux Fouche, a Cape Town-based vocalist and performer whose artistry is rooted in musical theatre, emotional storytelling, and a deep love of music from around the world. A graduate of the Cape Academy of Performing Arts, where she completed her musical theatre studies in 2009, Margaux was shaped by the grandeur, emotional presence and narrative power of the musical theatre tradition. This foundation gave her not only a strong vocal and performance technique, but also a lasting love for songs that tell stories, reveal character, and move an audience.
After graduating, Margaux went on to work with Followspot Productions at the Kalk Bay Theatre, before performing internationally at the Perth Fringe Festival. She later expanded her performance career into the world of international entertainment, working as an IPL cheerleader from 2013 to 2015, an experience that further developed her stage presence, versatility and confidence as a live performer.
In 2016, Margaux landed her first cruise contract with TUI Cruises aboard Mein Schiff. She promptly learned German — a feat in itself — and continued working with TUI for several years, performing for international audiences and developing a wide-ranging repertoire. In 2024, she “jumped ship” to Phoenix Reisen, joining the MS Artania, where her work at sea continued to deepen her love for performance, travel and musical storytelling. Her years at sea have profoundly shaped her as an artist. With the privilege of travelling the world, Margaux encountered music in some of its most vibrant settings — listening to jazz in Charleston, samba in Brazil, tango in Argentina, and returning home with an ever-growing appreciation for the unique richness of South African music. These experiences have influenced her voice, her musical taste, and her belief that songs have the power to travel across cultures, languages and emotional landscapes.
Equally at home in musical theatre, Disney classics, jazz standards, soulful ballads and powerhouse rock songs in the spirit of Tina Turner, Margaux brings warmth, versatility and emotional honesty to every performance.
Kyle Petersen, who will be accompanying Margaux on keyboards, is an international MD, pianist and producer based in Cape Town S.A. As a member of the prestigious Berklee All Stars, performing in over 30 countries, he is a versatile and consummate performer.
In An Evening with Adele, Margaux draws on her theatrical training, global influences and love of storytelling to honour one of the most emotionally resonant voices of our time. For Margaux, Adele’s music is more than a catalogue of hits — it is a body of work shaped by honesty, difficulty, triumph, jazz influence and extraordinary emotional courage. She is drawn to everything Adele creates and embodies as an artist: the humour, the heartbreak, the vocal power, the vulnerability, and above all, the ability to tell the truth through song.
Through this tribute, Margaux brings her own warmth, depth and interpretive style to Adele’s music, inviting audiences into a performance that celebrates not only the songs themselves, but the woman, the story and the emotional world behind them.
