All attendees should plan to arrive between 3:30–3:45 PM and meet in the lobby of the House of Delegates. Meetings will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.
đź—‚ What to Expect
MARFY has organized the evening to ensure participants feel prepared and supported:
- Attendees will be assigned to small groups, each with an experienced group leader
- Each group will receive one-page issue briefs outlining MARFY’s 2026 legislative priorities
- Meetings with state Delegates and Senators are pre-scheduled and coordinated in advance
- Group leaders will guide conversations and manage timing
You’ll have the opportunity to share your perspective, elevate key issues, and help lawmakers understand the real-world impact of policy decisions.
💬 Advocacy 101 — No Experience Needed
Whether you are new to advocacy or a seasoned participant, MARFY’s Evening of Advocacy is structured to make participation easy and meaningful. Your voice and experience are what matter most.
đź’» Pre-Event Virtual Overview
All registered attendees will be invited to participate in a virtual “What to Expect” overview session prior to the event. This session will:
- Review logistics and the evening’s flow
- Walk through MARFY’s 2026 legislative priorities
- Explain what to expect during legislative meetings
- Answer questions and help attendees feel confident and prepared
