March to August (M2A) is a string duo comprised of Derrick and Jodi Mears based out of the Ozark Mountains in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Known for their storytelling, thought-provoking lyrics, and varied instrument configurations, their roots-driven style melds elements of Americana, Alt-Country, and Bluegrass genres of music with powerful songwriting.
Derrick’s rich vocals combined with banjo, guitar and Jodi’s rhythmic foundation powered by bass, stomp box percussion and lap steel round out an unexpected full sound from just two musicians.
Their live shows consist of both their originals and arrangements of favorite covers of other artists' music, and they engage listeners through stories, humorous banter and unexpected random nuggets, facts, and trivia from our on-going and extensive web searches.
