We are adding some extra fun to the Chapter Challenge! Each month we will have a Basic Challenge and a Bonus Challenge, which is a little further out. When the name is drawn for the Basic Challenge winner if he or she has the Bonus Challenge picture as well the winner will get the $50 Gift Card PLUS a $25 Gift Card too. Entries must be submitted to [email protected] by 12 Noon on the Tuesday Before the Meeting.March Basic Challenge
This is a two photo Challenge - With 2 old gas stations. You must have pictures at both stations to qualify for the Basic prize.
1. Airplane Filling Station, 6829 Clinton Hwy, Knoxville TN
2. Carson Rose Gulf Station, 1837 Main St, Tazewell TN
Interesting trivia: the Airplane Filling Station once functioned as a gas station and had a barber shop inside but it's now an Airbnb. Photo opps allowed. The Gulf Station operated from 1930 to 1956. Plenty to see here so plan extra time. Round trip from SMHD and back using the fastest route is 140 miles.
BONUS CHALLENGE
The Globe, 803 Main St, Williamsburg KY. Round trip including the 2 gas station stops for the Basic Challenge is 225
Rules - Ride your motorcycle to the location(s) and take a picture of yourself, your motorcycle and the location - IF it can be done safely. Chapter Members must submit the photo(s) to [email protected] to be counted and entered in the drawing. One photo per person per monthly challenge Pics will be added to the galleries on the website at completion of the hallenge ** A single bike, with 2-up, requires only one picture and both Chapter Members will get credit in the photo. Multiple bikes in the same photo MUST submit separate photos for each bike. All entries will be entered individually for the drawing.
