Britain, we’re in trouble. As the country’s economic problems have grown, working people are struggling to get by.
The challenges we face are real, but we won’t solve them by giving into fear, hate and division.
There are some politicians who are stoking hate to create fear and division.
They blame refugees, immigrants, Muslims, Jews, disabled and LGBTQ+ people, ethnic minorities, women and working people for these problems.
They don’t have the answers; many of them have helped create the mess we’re in. In fact, some of them are making millions while working people suffer.
Instead of truly working to tackle the challenges we face, these hate-mongers are trying to lay the blame on others.
For the first time, the far right is driving politics at a national level. Their false promises seize on the very real economic problems people face, in order to scapegoat refugees and immigrants, Muslim, Jewish, LGBTQ+ people, disabled, Black and Asian, Roma and Gypsy people, women and working people.
But we can change things together.
We won’t let those who stoke fear divide us.
We will stand against hate.
We will march together in love, hope and unity.
