Welcome spring with a fresh start. In this foundational workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of flower pressing—how to prep blooms, manage moisture, and press flowers correctly at home. Students will assemble a personal pressing starter pack and begin pressing their own flowers during class, leaving with everything needed to continue the process at home.Learning Goals
Students will:
• Understand which flowers press well (and which don’t)
• Learn moisture control + timing basics
• Practice proper layering and pressure
• Begin a personal pressing book
• Leave confident to press flowers independently
What Students Make
• 1 pressing starter pack
• 1 in-progress pressing book with labeled flowers
• Pressed flower samples started in class
Take-Home Pressing Starter Pack (Included)
Each student receives:
• Pre-assembled pressing packet
• Botanical blotter paper (multiple sheets)
• Cardboard pressing boards
• Label set (flower name + date)
• Care + timeline instruction card
• Pressed flower reference sheet
• Pressing book (or instructions to use at home)
What Students Should Bring
A heavy book (if they want to press immediately at home)
• A tote for safe transport
