This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the greats of Afro Brazilian Music. Alexandre Garnizé has worked with countless legends of Brazilian and World music. He is leader of Tambores de Olokun (Rio) and Abayomy Afrobeat Orchestra.
This Autumn, he comes to Dublin for a one-off Masterclass of Maracatu Drumming.
Aimed at drummers/batuqueros/as/ percussionists/ sambistas with some experience this fast paced session will offer inputs on technique rhythms and arrangements.
Here's your chance to play with a thunderous maracatu ensemble.
Supported by players from Ireland's own Maracatu ilha Brilhante some authentisc maracatu instruments will be available to play.
