About this Event
This June school holidays, introduce your child to the wonders of urban sketching. Open to children between 7 - 12 years old, this camp will teach them creative and engaging ways to explore their surroundings and connect with the world around them — through a hands-on workshop designed to nurture creativity in young minds.
This session will introduce kids to the ‘5Cs’ of urban sketching:
● Choose their point of interest
● Compose the view by planning out the 3 ‘layers’ of the environment
● Contour the large shapes in these layers
● Colour the sketch
● Caption the sketch as a finishing touch
Whether your child is already interested in art or just beginning to explore their creativity, this workshop offers a supportive environment where they can develop new skills and gain a deeper appreciation for the world around them. All material needed for this workshop will be provided.
Venue: Mapletree Business City Town Hall - Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 (image below)
- Arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the scheduled activity time for registration.
- The event will start promptly. Please arrive on time.
If you are alighting at the Level 1 (ground level) drop off point as per the image below, please enter the Town Hall through the glass doors on the left. You may then take the lift or stairs to the Mezzanine floor where the Meeting Rooms are located.
If you are alighting at Block 10 of Mapletree Business City as per the image below, follow the directional signages and take the escalator down to the Mezzanine floor
