About this Event
Please join us for a mandatory in-person presentation on the proposed updated Good Neighbor Policy on Tuesday, May 12 from 1:00–2:00pm at 101 Grove Street, Room 300. Please note that as 101 Grove Street is no longer open to the public, staff will be stationed in front of the building to assist with entry.
Background
A Good Neighbor Policy has been in place since 2024. This updated policy strengthens that framework by unifying expectations across DPH, the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, and the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development sites and contracts, establishing clearer provider requirements, and defining potential consequences for non-compliance. The updated policy takes effect July 1, 2026.
What we will cover
- Site expectations: What is required of DPH-operated sites and contracted providers, including perimeter management, complaint response, active discouragement, documentation, and community engagement
- Monitoring responsibilities: What program managers and contracts staff are expected to do to oversee compliance, conduct site monitoring, and apply corrective action when needed
There will be time for questions.
Who should attend
- Staff at DPH-operated sites who will be responsible for overseeing implementation/adherence to the policy
- Program managers with oversight of DPH-funded providers
- Contracts staff with monitoring responsibilities
Attendance is mandatory for the above roles. Please forward this to your team and ensure relevant staff are present.
If you have questions ahead of the meeting, contact [email protected].
