Day 1 ( Sat 27th June: 09:30-16:00)
- Laboratory health & safety and sterile working practices
- Introduction to mammalian cell culture
- Aseptic technique in cell culture environments
- Using biosafety cabinets
- Preparing and maintaining cell culture media
- Cell passaging techniques
Day 2 ( Sun 28st June: 09:30-16:00)
- Monitoring cell growth and viability
- Cell counting techniques
- Cryopreservation and thawing of cells
- Maintaining healthy cell lines
- Understanding contamination and prevention
- Analysing and interpreting cell culture results
