About this Event
This Community of Practice (CoP) is designed for men and gender-diverse people who identify as men that work in the Early Childhood Education field. Recognizing that this demographic is underrepresented in the ECE field, the CoP aims to build a safe and supportive space where men and gender-diverse educators can connect, share, and grow together.
In this CoP, participants will have the opportunity to:
• Explore the unique joys, challenges, and perceptions of being a male-presenting educator in early learning environments.
• Discuss barriers that male-presenting educators may face, including stereotypes and societal expectations, and identify strategies to navigate them.
• Share practical solutions, ideas, and successes that promote positive change for themselves and the wider ECE community.
• Build a sense of belonging and camaraderie, while fostering an inclusive, equitable learning environment for all children and families.
Whether you’re new to the field or have years of experience — you are invited to come as you are and help build a supportive network for each other and the children we serve.
