Get ready to rock at Occidental Square! Mala Suerte brings their psychedelic punk rock sounds to downtown Seattle Thursday, Aug. 15.When the crème de la crème of the garage rock scene from Mexico City and Seattle get together, the result is Mala Suerte, a psychedelic punk band founded in 2020. The band's music is gritty and intensely emotional, inspired by a myriad of classic Mexican and South American garage rock bands. When these powerhouses come together their sound is anything but tame.
Mala Suerte will be joined by opener Ahamefule J. Oluo. Chief Ahamefule J. Oluo is a multi-disciplinary artist, trumpet player, composer and stand-up comedian. Along with the best musicians in Seattle, he creates dance music with substance and creative explorations to dance to.
The Downtown Seattle Association is proud to present Downtown Summer Sounds, our summer concert series that has been bringing free live, local music to downtown Seattle for 45 years. We’re hosting more than 30 outdoor concerts across downtown from July 5-Sept. 10: https://downtownseattle.org/events/downtown-summer-sounds/
The Downtown Summer Sounds concert series is funded by the Metropolitan Improvement District ratepayers and presented by Amazon.
