Join Shruti for a transformative 3 hour, small group workshop to help you explore and understand your unique body. We would like to keep the workshop intimate, with a maximum of 14 participants, so you'll receive personalised feedback and support as we tailor yoga asanas to suit your individual needs.Whether you're a seasoned yoga practitioner or new to the mat, this workshop offers a supportive environment to deepen your practice. NB whilst we will do our best to accommodate any chronic or acute conditions/injuries you might have in this workshop, please seek the advice of your medical professional before joining.
We will begin with a warm welcome and an intention setting meditation, before diving into a short flow to warm up our bodies and prepare for a deeper exploration. The heart of the session will be focused on a workshop-style exploration of key asanas. Together we will break down the poses and learn how to utilise props and variations to adapt them for your unique body and enhance your practice. We will then integrate this new knowledge into a second flow, where you can make the sequence your own. We will close with a mindful reflection, where you might set intentions for your continued yoga practice.
This 3 hour session will include time for short breaks as well as discussion and Q&A. Mats and all props are provided free of charge, or you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
About Shruti:
Shruti qualified as a 200hours yoga teacher in May 2024, after 10+ years of practising yoga. She first found yoga as a way of keeping active after a knee injury, and has since found yoga has helped her manage the physical and mental aspects of living with inflammatory arthritis - a chronic, autoimmune condition. She wants to combine her experience of living with a disability and knowledge from her PhD in rehabilitation to empower everybody to know their body, and find activity that fits into lives using the principles rooted in yoga. Shruti is a diligent learner, keeping up to date with the latest scientific and medical research, and using this to inform her teaching.
Please note that due to the unique nature of our specialist workshops, we are unable to offer refunds. Please do check your availability before booking. If you are unable to attend, you may be able to offer your place to someone else to attend the same workshop in your place.
