We’re so excited to welcome you to the first official Makilala of the year — a day dedicated to bringing our Filipino community together through connection, celebration, and community.
Inspired by the Filipino word “makilala,” meaning to meet, to get to know, to recognize, Makilala is all about creating a space where we can show up as ourselves, build meaningful friendships, and celebrate the beauty of our culture 🇵🇭
Once again, we will be at oen of our favourite Filipino-owned spaces in the city, Halina Modern Kitchen & Bar — a warm and lively hub where you can meet new faces, reconnect with old friends, and experience feeling at home when community comes together.
Expect a night full of music, good food, connection, singing, dancing and all-around fun. Whether you’re coming with friends or coming solo, Makilala is for everyone — and we want you to feel welcome the moment you walk in.
