Come and join this Zine workshop, where you will learn to make your own personal zine from scratch.A zine is a self-published, small-circulation publication created by an individual or a small group. Its format, printing techniques, and themes are entirely up to the creator, making it a powerful medium for artistic and personal expression.
This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of zine-making, offering inspiration and practical techniques to help you shape your own publication.
Through a hands-on, primarily analog experience, you’ll gain a visual and tactile understanding of different zine formats, exploring various ways to structure and assemble your work.
Each participant will create a unique, personal zine using pre-designed templates. You are encouraged to experiment freely, finding a format and visual language that best reflects your artistic vision.
By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with your own self-published zine—an artifact of your creativity and a starting point for future explorations in self-publishing.

Our teacher
Giulia Ratti – originally from Milan, but now based in Copenhagen, is an artist whose work spans graphic design, workshops, and comics. With a drawing-centered practice, she crafts narratives that blend creativity and thought-provoking themes. You can see her work here
PRACTICAL INFO
The workshop will be taught in English
We will be in Tårnværelset on the 3rd floor in Absalon. You get there by taking the stairs by the entrance. There is no elevator.
We have all the materials you need, but if you have something personal you would like to add to your zine – pictures, clippings, an old ticket or something else – then bring it.
