About this Event
In this 3-hour class, students create a sterling silver charm using silver clay. The course begins with an introduction to the properties of silver clay which allows for intricate designs and details when shaped and molded, much like traditional clay. However, it has the unique benefit of transforming into pure silver once fired. Students are guided through the process of designing their charm, including sculpting, texturing, and adding any personal touches or embellishments.
By the end of the class, students will have a one-of-a-kind sterling silver charm that they’ve crafted entirely by hand, gaining skills in both design and metalworking.
Once the charm is formed and fired in a kiln it will be polished with a satin finish and mailed back to students.
This is a beginner level craft. No experience necessary.
