About this Event
Join us for a three-hour training on basic medic skills for community care and resistance. We will be learning with street medics from our communities, who are trained in first response interventions for typical street scenarios. We will cover first response to common traumatic injuries (including gunshot and stab wounds), tear gas, pepper spray and protest related injuries as well as community care in emotionally heightened environments. We are pleased to bring these real-life skills into circulation in our community. Please note, this is intended to skill-up the community and further training is necessary to be a street medic.
