About this Event
Get loud through clay. Join The Clay Church Studio for the first workshop of the year in the studio’s new space—a hands-on “decoy” clay whistle workshop rooted in making, ritual, and shared presence. Participants will shape and burnish whistles that can be worn as part of a necklace or exist as standalone forms, using traditional techniques. All completed pieces will be pit-fired the following evening, making the firing itself part of the process and ritual.
This workshop is structured as a two-day experience. The first day focuses on whistle-making and burnishing. The second day is dedicated to pit-firing the pieces, a slower process that takes additional time to complete.
