Come learn how to preserve a little slice of nature as a window ornament during this family-friendly workshop! We’ll learn about epoxy resin art and how to make it, including safety precautions, then take a walk through the garden to gather natural materials to use in our own piece of art. Once you have your materials, your child will design a cookie-sized window ornament by laying treasures out on a piece of paper. Then, while kids and caregivers enjoy some fun activities, the instructors will mix and pour the window ornaments using the design laid out by each participant.
Ornaments will be set by the time the class is over but will need to cure for 24 hours. If you choose to take it home from the class, simply wait 24 hours before removing it from the mold. You can also leave it at the CGC and come back to pick it up during Lil' Sprouts from 9-10:30am on Monday, December 9. Once your ornament has set, you can display or gift it as you like!
This family-friendly workshop is designed for children ages 3 and up and their caregivers. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Please reserve one place for each child; adults need not register.
