Join Broomsquire and Witch Amy Lou Taylor for a magickal afternoon of broom making! Rooted in the old ways of toolmaking, Amy will guide you through the art of crafting a set of five handmade brooms - each imbued with your own intention and purpose. You’ll create four practical Kitchen Tools (a cake tester, pot scrubber, root veggie scrubber, and counter whisk), along with a larger Triple Goddess Altar broom. As you bind straw and wood, you’ll uncover the history and uses of these powerful tools, both practical and magickal. Since we will be crafting our brooms while the lunar cycle is waxing towards full, it is the perfect time to birth them into the world with purpose.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with five unique brooms made by you, a deeper understanding of broom lore, and notes to continue your practice at home.
All supplies are included in the cost of this workshop. Please wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes (or be ready to go barefoot). Amy will also have charms and items you can use to decorate your altar broom, or you’re welcome to bring something personal to weave into your craft.
