About this Event
Make Time Tangible: A Calendar Zine Workshop is a hands-on zine and bookmaking workshop (18+) at Interference Archive in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
Prepare for the new year by making time something you can see, touch, and shape. In this hands-on workshop, participants will create a 2026 calendar zine: a handmade, month-by-month companion that blends image, text, and intention. Each page will represent a month of the year, with space to collage, write, and reflect on personal themes, affirmations, and wishes for the year ahead.
Using cutting, layering, and photocopying, we’ll transform everyday materials into visual reminders of what we hope to grow and hold onto. Participants are encouraged to bring printed ephemera (photographs, mementos, or scraps with personal meaning) to copy and incorporate into their zine.
No experience is necessary, just curiosity and a desire to create something playful, reflective, and entirely your own.
Instructor: Francisco Donoso (he/him/el) is an artist, curator, and educator based in NYC. Originally from Ecuador, he’s been a recipient of DACA since 2013. He creates mixed media works that explore the psychic spaces of migration: the psychological, emotional, spiritual, memory, and unseen terrains.
