About this Event

What is Make & Tell?

It’s simple: bring anything you’re making or working on or thinking about making or working on: a song, a quilt, an idea, a car, a drink, a tattoo, a poem, a plan, or really any creative work-in-progress. You show it, tell a bit about it, and we all ask questions and discuss. It’s super relaxed but often surprising and inspiring. And, of course, you can simply just attend and enjoy the night without bringing anything — it's just as interesting to sit back and ask questions.

What Happens Each Night?

6:30p-7p: Drinks

A welcome cocktail plus beer/wine & lite appetizers included with your ticket.

7p-7:45p: Open Mic

This is when you share your thing!

8p-8:45p: Featured Presenter & Q&A

8:45p-??: What's better than a party? An after-party!

--

Seating is limited. Please purchase a ticket to reserve your spot. Tickets include entry, a welcome cocktail plus beer/wine, and lite appetizers. If you're interested in sharing during the Open Mic, please be sure to indicate that when you get your ticket. Proceeds from ticket sales help us keep Make & Tell going and pay a stipend to our featured presenters.

No children, please.

She holds an MFA in Art Practices from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a BFA from Emerson College in Boston, MA, and also trained at the School of Botanical Art and Illustration in Denver. She teaches at University of Colorado, Boulder and Metropolitan State University in Denver and in many K-12 classrooms. Through biomimicry and the study of biophilia, her work examines humans' spiritual and social (dis)connection with nature, and seeks to raise questions about realizing a radically different metaphoric mapping of time, space, and our place in the world.
