About this Event
Celebrate the end of winter with a cosy, crafty evening in Hackney co-hosted with special guest, visual artist and poet Ella Silk.
Join us for a relaxed haiku poetry zine-making workshop designed to be beginner-friendly and take you away from your screen and instead feel more connected to the real world.
Yes, please add this to your "things I did this week instead of doomscroll" list or use this as a way to tick off that pesky New Year's resolution you set yourself 😉
Set in a gorgeous, mood-lit space, this gentle phone-free session invites you to slow down, tune into your surroundings, and explore haiku poetry inspired by the arrival of spring.
Through guided prompts and warm-ups to get you into your creative flow, we’ll help you transform your poetic words into a handmade zine using collage and other paper ephemera.
Expect a warm, welcoming vibe with unlimited herbal tea and biscuits, soft lighting, and plenty of room to experiment creatively.
No previous experience is needed. Perfect for anyone interested in creative writing, poetry workshops, zine culture and spaces for mindful making in London.
Ella Silk is a London-based visual poet and mixed media artist who encourages meaningful digital detox time by facilitating creative phone-free spaces. Find out more & follow Ella here.
