Make a Black Girl Smile- Day at the Market

Make a Black Girl Smile is about Black women taking up space visibly, confidently, and collectively in Cincinnati.

This event is an intentional invitation for Black women to explore the city, enjoy the variety of our interests, and feel comfortable existing in spaces that may not always center us.

We are not asking Black women to smile. We are creating an experience that makes her smile.

The goal is to normalize Black women gathering in public spaces with joy, encourage exploration of Cincinnati’s cultural gems, highlight that our interests are layered. Make a Black Girl Smile will provide an elevated welcoming daytime atmosphere, and support local vendors while building sisterhood.
