Four Hungarians from Romania currently based in Budapest, Hungary decided to read the epic poem, John the Valiant (one of the most known pieces of Hungarian literature) and make a performance based on it.
Integration, migration, the sense of home are the main keywords that resonate with them. John the Valiant never appears but its story constantly vibrates in the background and between the lines.
This is a showcase of artists who - due to cultural differences, livelihood issues or simply a need for new stimuli - have left their homes to challenge themselves both personally and artistically.

A Magical Deer 2025-ös vendégszereplése után visszatér a Klubba - utána pedig a Halász Péter-díj átadójára várunk mindenkit az előtérben!
Négy Budapesten élő romániai magyar alkotó úgy döntött, hogy színpadra adaptálja a magyar irodalom egyik legismertebb alkotását, a János vitézt. A Magical deer egy vándorlástörténet, beilleszkedésre való kísérlet, otthonkeresési küzdelem, lehetőség a közösségi élményre.
Olyan alkotók együttműködése, akik kulturális különbségek, megélhetési problémák, vagy egyszerűen új impulzusok iránti igény miatt elhagyták otthonukat, hogy személyes és művészi szempontból fejlődjenek. János vitéz soha nem jelenik meg, de története folyamatosan a háttérben lapul.

🇷🇴 Patru artiști maghiari din România stabiliți la Budapesta au decis să adapteze pe scenă una dintre cele mai cunoscute opere din literatura maghiară, János Viteazul. Magical deer este o poveste despre migrare, o încercare de integrare, o luptă pentru a găsi un cămin, o oportunitate pentru o experiență comună. Spectacolul este o colaborare între artiști care, din cauza diferențelor culturale, a problemelor de subzistență, din nevoia de a căuta noi impulsuri sau pentru a se dezvolta pe plan personal și artistic, au decis să plece de acasă. János viteazul nu apare deloc pe scenă, dar povestea lui se ascunde mereu în fundal.
