Wear comfortable shoes for the walk down under the bridge.

Hailing from North Carolina, MTS are a trio at the forefront of artists inhabiting the rich, living musical traditions of the Appalachian region. Not as preservationists, but as fluent speakers shaping the forms with their inventive new ideas. Having performed recently at Big Ears, Hopscotch, Sound & Gravity (among many other places along the way) the group’s music resonates well beyond their regional roots. Arching melodies combine with mystical drones, balancing the group between folk and deep listening traditions. Their forthcoming album, Heavy Water, will be drop May 22nd on the Thrill Jockey label.
