About Magic in the Wood
Magic in the Wood is a Bowen Island homecoming.
Created and hosted by Eli Zysman, a Bowen Island graduate, this family-friendly afternoon brings together live magic, music, and visual art in a warm, community-rooted gathering.
The show blends playful, interactive magic with a gentle artistic atmosphere — something children can fully enjoy and adults can genuinely appreciate.
One of the guiding visions of Magic in the Wood is to celebrate creativity across generations on Bowen Island. The intention is to feature local visual art as part of the stage environment, with hopes of including both established Bowen Island artists and, pending approvals, student artwork from local schools.
This vision reflects the spirit of the event:
past, present, and future Bowen creatives sharing the same space.

- 45-minute live magic performance
Followed by 30 minutes of interactive time after the show
