MODArts Dance Collective (MADC) is elated to announce its fifth annual Move to Change Dance Festival on Saturday, November 19, 2022 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM EST at Speyer Hall at University Settlement, 184 Eldridge Street, New York, NY 10002 + Livestream & an On Demand viewing option: November 21-December 4. The purpose of Move to Change is to use dance as a form of social justice and arts activism through the lens of BIPOC choreographers & dance filmmakers. The goal of Move to Change is to create cultural and gender affirming spaces for artists of color (African, Latina/o/x, Asian, Arab, Native American [ALAANA]), MENA, & SWANA to educate, empower, and illuminate the issues that reflect their histories and cultures through their unique and rich movement aesthetics. This year’s themes are Joy embodied in Black & Brown Bodies and Love interpreted through the lens of BIPOC choreographers & dance filmmakers.

Tickets are $25/GA; $20/students & seniors; $15/livestream & on demand only.
For in person performance ticket holders, please provide your proof of vaccination before entering the building and wear a face mask when in the lobby and performance space. For individuals unvaccinated due to medical or religious beliefs, please provide a negative COVID-19 test results taken 48 to 72 hours prior to the scheduled concert, as well as wearing a face mask when in the lobby and performance space. The Speyer Hall @ University Settlement is ADA accessible with an elevator and wheelchair access for seating.
Livestream and On Demand Only will receive the Zoom link one hour before the start of the scheduled concert through Eventbrite via email. The On Demand Links will be sent through Eventbrite via email by November 21 and will be available for you to watch November 21-December 4. Please make sure that you check your Spam Folder just in case for the email.
