Grab your top hats and parasols! Celebrate spring in style at the Lake Wales Mad Hatter Tea Party. Our fire breather will perform at 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Expect a whimsical event, full of clashing colors, live music, entertainment, English-style costume contest, and photo ops. Two complimentary tea parlours will be on site for in-person experiences. English-style characters will deliver 15-minute etiquette classes on the refined traditions of afternoon tea and proper table manners. The steps to participate are simple. 1) At the event, stop by one of the hostesses stands to get a table buzzer. 2) When your table buzzer alerts you, head to your designated tea parlour station. Note: The tea parlours will turn every 30 minutes.
Beyond the tea parlours, catered English-inspired food options, alcohol beverages, and non-alcohol beverages will be available for purchase.
The Mad Hatter Tea Party is part of the City’s Spring Fridays Series - February, March, April, and May- presented by the City of Lake Wales, in partnership with the Lake Wales Arts Council, Lake Wales Main Street, Lake Wales History Museum, Lake Wales Little Theater, and The Thirsty Dragon.
