Guided Nature Walk at Lake Kissimmee State Park
Join us at Lake Kissimme State Park to log some nature observations for City Nature Challenge 2026. Click the link for more info about this global nature observation challenge.
This event includes free entry to Lake Kissimmee State Park for the first 10 vehicles*.
- Wear comfy shoes, the path is uneven**
- Bring your smartphone or camera to take photos
- Children under 16 Must have an adult present
- Download iNaturalist ahead of time, there will be a tuturial before we get started
*If you are not among the first 10 vehicles, entry to LKSP is $5 per vehicle.
**Lake Wales Public Library and staff are not responsible for injury or damage to personal property due to uneven ground, plants/animals, allergies, etc...

Participation in an event is NOT required to participate in City Nature Challenge! All you have to do is take photos of WILD plants, bugs, birds, and animals from 4/24 to 4/27 and upload them to the iNaturalist app or website by 5/10. Any photos taken in Polk County will automatically count towards our region total!
